Abstract—Cracking Windows account password is critical to
the forensic analyst. The general methods of decipher password
include clean the password, guess by social engineering,
mathematical analyzing, exhaustive attacking, dictionary
attacking and rainbow tables algorithm. This paper provides the
details about the Security Account Manager(SAM) database
and describes how to get the user information from SAM and
cracks account password of Windows 10 that the latest
operating system of Microsoft.
